Tyson Fury has unequivocally rejected the possibility of facing one of the top contenders in the heavyweight division, stating that there is "absolutely no chance" of such a bout taking place. Fury has been absent from the boxing ring since December of the previous year, when he secured victory over his long-standing rival Derek Chisora for the third time. This bout took place in front of an impressive crowd of 60,000 spectators at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. This victory marked Fury's third successful defense of his WBC belt, which he had claimed in a rematch against Deontay Wilder in 2021. Their initial encounter had ended controversially in a draw. Subsequently, a third showdown between the two fighters was mandated following an arbitration ruling in favor of Wilder's team. In their third encounter, the undefeated British fighter once again emerged victorious, delivering a knockout to Wilder in the eleventh round after an exhilarating back-and-forth battle. During an interview with Stephen A. Smith on ESPN's First Take, Fury was questioned about the possibility of a fourth bout against Deontay Wilder.
