Tyson Fury Offers Anthony Joshua WBC Title After Usyk Delay
FightersTalkTV.com – Oleksandr Usyk has called out Tyson Fury for his next fight after a rematch win over Anthony Joshua last month. Fury, who had announced his retirement before the rematch, suddenly cancelled his plan and answered the call. Many fans believed the fight would be the biggest of the undisputed heavyweight champions’ clashes in the modern boxing era.
However, their expectation that this megafight would take place at the end of the year will not be realised. Usyk has explained that he suffered a recurrence of old injuries against AJ and wants to spend time with his family.
The Gipsy King himself has insisted that he wants the fight in December and so accused his rival of ‘running away’ by delaying until 2023. But he has stated to have another fight by mentioning AJ could be a replacement before the clash against Usyk.

Fury said, “I still think, even though he’s lost three of his last five fights, I still think people would like to see that fight. So if Oleksandr Usyk can’t be ready and doesn’t want the fight for whatever reason – a middleweight against a giant behemoth heavyweight, I could understand why he doesn’t want it.
“If that fight doesn’t happen, then we’ll go and offer AJ the fight.”
Fury challenged AJ for the fight for which home fans been waiting for years, and tweeted, “Yo @anthonyjoshua what you saying big G let’s give the fanz what they want as Usyk is b****ing??? I got the date and venue who will rule Britannia?”
The tweet followed an early video, also posted on Twitter, where Fury posed with his belts to call out his British rival. “I think you’ve all heard that I’m going to be fighting in the next few months. I think that before I announce an opponent, I need to do this, just in case,” Fury said.

“Anthony Joshua, I know you’ve just lost a fight to Usyk and you’re beltless at the moment. I’d like to give you an opportunity to fight me for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world and the lineal championship in the next few months.
“You’re coming off a 12-round fight, you’re match fit, you’re ready. I’m giving you a few months’ notice. If you’re interested, I’ll send you a date over and we can rumble. A battle of Britain for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world.
“Let me know if you’re interested, if not, I will select another opponent.”
Joshua, seeking a way back from consecutive losses to Usyk, has vowed to jump at the chance of instant redemption. He replied, “Yea calm. I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if your really about it shout @258mgt. I’ll be ready in December. Khalas”.
The pair have been exchanging messages on social media in recent days and today, Fury has given his strongest hint yet that a fight will happen. The latest, Fury has continued discussions on social media revealing his offer to the 33-year-old who lost his last fight to Usyk last month. Fury has said that he would propose a 60:40 split, with the current champion taking the higher share.
He said: “Hi guys, I’m being bombarded with messages on how much am I going to pay AJ and everyone’s saying is it going to be 80:20, 70:30, 75:25 – the actual answer is that I’ve offered him 60:40.
“40 per cent of this amazing fight because I want this fight to happen – he doesn’t have any excuses now not to take it. He can’t say I’ve low-balled him and offered him 20, 30 per cent – I’ve offered the people 40 per cent and take it or leave it”.
It remains to be seen whether or not Joshua will take the offer, but with a deal in excess of the 80:20 split for Fury’s last fight with Dillian Whyte, it would represent a generous deal for a fight that people would like to see.
