Shawinigan Set for Title Fights! Mbilli Defends Titles Against Heffron, Makhmudov Seeks Revenge in Co-Main Event!
Shawinigan, Canada – Eye of the Tiger Management (EOTTM) is bringing a night of international boxing to the Gervais Auto Center in Shawinigan on May 25th. The highly anticipated event features two main card bouts: Christian Mbilli defending his WBA International and WBC Continental Americas titles against Mark Heffron, and Arslanbek Makhmudov facing Junior Fa in a heavyweight rematch.

Mbilli Aims to Continue Ascent in Super Middleweight Division
The main event features the rising star Christian Mbilli (26-0, 22 KOs) [source: Eye of the Tiger Press Release]. Nicknamed "Solid" Mbilli, the Montrealer is currently ranked #2 WBC and WBA, #3 IBF, and #4 WBO in the super-middleweight division
He will be looking to solidify his position against the hard-hitting Briton Mark "Kid Dynamite" Heffron (30-3-1, 24 KOs). Mbilli is coming off an impressive win against Australian world contender Rohan Murdock, which garnered him significant attention in the United States
"With Heffron, Christian is completely heading towards another style of opponent, and this fits very well into his learning process," says Mbilli's coach and development director Marc Ramsay. "After making a name for himself in the United States and Australia, it's time for Christian to show the English what he can do."
Makhmudov Seeks Redemption Against Fa
The co-main event features the return of the heavyweight contender Arslanbek Makhmudov (18-1, 17 KOs) [source: Eye of the Tiger Press Release]. Known as the "Lion," Makhmudov will be facing Junior Fa (20-3, 11 KOs) the fighter who handed him his first professional loss. This fight will be a chance for Makhmudov to avenge that defeat and reassert himself as a top contender in the heavyweight division.
"Honestly, I am happy," says Makhmudov. "It's good work on the part of my team to already secure a new big fight, and especially a fight that will be excellent. I've already faced him in a very close fight that he won when we were amateurs, so I am more than determined to avenge that defeat,"

International Spectacle
The May 25th event is a significant collaboration between EOTTM, the Cataractes organization, and the City of Shawinigan. The fight card will also feature rising stars such as Wilkens Mathieu, Mehmet Unal, Alexandre Gaumont, and Luis Santana. The entire event will be broadcast live on Punching Grace and ESPN+ networks.
