Nevada State Athletic Commission Suspends Sebastian Fundora Until September.

Sebastian Fundora, the new WBO and WBC junior middleweight titleholder, has been dealt a setback after the Nevada State Athletic Commission suspended him from fighting until late September. This decision was made in light of Fundora's broken nose suffered during his recent victory over Tim Tszyu. As a result, the WBO's order for Fundora to negotiate a title defense against Terence Crawford and potential matchups with other opponents have been thrown into uncertainty. In a statement, a WBO official explained the situation, saying, “When a WBO champion suffers an injury, the Championship Committee issues a letter titled 'Interim Medical Certification' whereby the fighter through his representative(s) is required to submit in writing to the WBO a detailed medical report of his injury and his physician’s findings and prognosis, including his recovery time period.” [caption id="attachment_7716" align="alignnone" width="768"] Tszyu vs Fundora[/caption] The boxing world now eagerly awaits updates on Fundora's recovery and potential future fights as the Nevada State Athletic Commission's decision has significantly impacted the fighter's immediate plans. #SebastianFundora #TimTszyu #TerenceCrawford #ErrolSpence #boxing
