Alexis Arguello announced himself as one of boxing’s future greats on November 23, 1974, when the 22-year-old Nicaraguan rallied from behind to knock out WBA featherweight champion Rubén “El Púas” Olivares in the 13th round at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
