Alexander Povetkin’s Coach Killed in Mali
Igor Nesterov — Russian mercenary, longtime boxing coach of Olympic gold medalist Alexander Povetkin, and reported war criminal — was killed in Mali, Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) told the Kyiv Independent. The former coach, who helped steer Povetkin’s rise in Russian boxing, had become an active fighter for the Wagner Group, Russia’s most notorious private military outfit.
