CAN INOUE HANDLE TSUTSUMI’S POWER?
Takuma Inoue is set to defend his WBA bantamweight title against Seiya Tsutsumi on October 13 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo. The 12-round contest is the main event of a stacked world championship card, which will be broadcast live on ESPN+. This will be Inoue’s third ring appearance and title defense this year, after securing a unanimous decision victory over Sho Ishida in May on the Naoya Inoue vs. Luis Nery undercard.

Inoue, who holds a record of 20-1 with 5 KOs, is ready to showcase his skills once again. The 28-year-old champion has been a dominant force in the division and is determined to keep his winning streak alive. His opponent, Seiya Tsutsumi, brings an unbeaten record of 11-0-2 with 8 KOs and is eager to claim his first world title. Tsutsumi recently secured a fourth-round stoppage victory over Weerawat Noolae in July, making him a formidable challenger for the title.

The co-main event features Kenshiro Teraji, a former unified light flyweight champion from Japan, who will take on Nicaragua’s Cristofer Rosales for the vacant WBC 112 lbs title. Teraji, with a record of 22-1 with 14 KOs, is looking to add another championship to his collection, while Rosales (37-6 with 22 KOs) aims to regain his place among the world’s elite.
Also on the undercard, Seigo Yuri Akui will defend his WBA flyweight title against Thananchai Charunphak of Thailand, and Shokichi Iwata will clash with Spain’s Jairo Noriega for the vacant WBO light flyweight title. The night promises to deliver high-stakes action, with four world titles on the line.

Fans can expect a night of explosive boxing as Inoue and Tsutsumi headline what is sure to be an unforgettable event in Tokyo.
